Starting up again

It's been a few weeks since I posted last, so I thought it was time for a little update. Last time I posted, I had just gone for my 3 month follow up bloodwork to see if the 1000/mg daily of Metformin was doing anything to help out my insulin resistance. I wish a had the " easy" button from staples so I could say, "That was easy!", but no such luck. My insulin and testosterone levels are still higher than normal. They looked like they went down a teensy, but not enough of an improvement to make me O every month.

In May when I was first put on Met, I started AF 11 days after starting it-I hadn't seen her since Jan 11th. So here it is May 21 and I am sooooo excited! The Met might actually be working! I started temping every morning and lo and behold, I had a solid cross-hatch show up on fertility friend indicating that I O'd around CD 18. I awaited AF and on the day FF said she'd arrive, I spotted, for 4 days.. ..then nothing. A few weeks later a little more spotting, but that's been it.

My OB told me to double my dose of Met....which I started on Aug 29th at night. I woke up yesterday morning (7 days later) to some spotting and thought "hmmmm, could it be?!" I'm happy to report that AF has definately decided to visit again. Yipppeee! Part of me still wonders if it's just coincidental, but both times? Seems kind of unlikely. I started to temp again this morning, so we'll see. I have an appointment with an OB in the same office that specializes in PCOS/IF stuff, in the middle of this month, so hopefully he'll be able to give me some more advice...or maybe I'll be pregnant! That would be awesome!
